3 MMA fighters 2 male and one female of Academy of Martial Science representing Mysore Combat
Sports Association (MCSA) recently participated in MMA National championships held at Delhi’s
Thyagaraj Sports Complex between 21 st and 23 rd Sep 2018. Anand.S and Hemanth Prasad lost their
qualifiers and were awarded medals of appreciation for their brave performance. Tharika
Muthamma.N.M fighting one weight division up in Feather Weight category was placed second and
was declared a winner in Bantam weight category. She is the lone female medalist from Karnataka.
The event was organized by All India Mixer Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA) and the team
represented AMMAK.
