2016 Youth world championships Held in Thailand

Samarth Vikram, of AMS who represented India for the consecutive second time at the Youth Muaythai kickboxing World Championships 2016 organized by the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA) in Bangkok, Thailand between 23rd Aug and 1st Sep 2016 won a BRONZE MEDAL for the country fighting in 12-13 years, 42-44 kg weight category. IFMA is the sole governing body of the Combat sport of Amateur Muaythai in the world, recognized by International Olympic Council (IOC) and Olympic council of Asia (OCA). He was selected by the National Federation, Muaythai India (MTI)(R), to be a part of the National team. More than 60 countries and over 1000 young fighters participated in the event. Incidently Samarth won a Bronze Medal in 2015 at the world championships also. He is youngest boy from Mysuru so far to have achieved this rare feat.
